Akihabara@deep movie(2006)
Rating 3+/6
I must say, lately I feel like Hiroki Narimiya is everywhereXD He doesn’t really fit the nerdrole though…
Well about the movie, the plot is as follows:
“Set in Tokyo’s otaku mecca Akihabara, “Akihabara@DEEP” tells the story of five otaku who drop out of society and end up founding their own successful IT venture called Crook. But trouble comes into their once peaceful otaku lives.” –Yellowcinema
Found half the movie really boring… I would expect a bit more spark, having seen a bit of the drama series. The peculiarity from the series is toned down though, which makes it a lot less interesting.
But the other half was kind of good, as they gradually put some spice in the mix, by means of action and some shocks. Just the way I like it. The question is, was it worth it?
I’d say the movie is more mature than the series, if you get what I mean.. I haven’t really watched the whole drama series though, so the ending might be REEALLY different for all I know, but I doubt it.
Don’t really know if I’d recommend the movie, but it might be interesting for the especially interested or something.
Personally, I preferred the series. Better casting, and better made characters:D
Trailer:
Yamasaki Hosei is in it! …for about two secondsXD
