Jmovie: Gantz live action(2011)

When reading this, remember these things:
Point 1: I have only read the first few chapters of the Gantz manga, and it's a long time ago. (I know it's popular, but I guess the close-ups of a naked woman, which then was attempted raped, gave a certain impression I didn't like.) I guess that means this is like watching a movie without reading the book, which should automatically give me a better impression of the movie.
Point 2: The only subtitles I had was Japanese, so I may not have gotten all neuances in their lines. I still understood what was going on though, and in action movies the most important stuff is most often not in what is said, but I still may have missed lines or details.
Point 3: The movie has a lot of famous people, among them Kenichi Matsuyama..

So my view of the movie may not be completely objective, and I may sound like an ignorant blabbering moron :D

But anyway, here's my opinion of it:

Rating: 5/6

The plot is about two guys who get killed by a train when trying to rescue a man from the tracks. They then suddenly find themselves in a room with some other people and a wierd black sphere that sends them all out on missions to kill aliens.

The plot is quite simple actually, but of course they fill in some emotional stuff and surrounding events to make the whole thing interesting.

I have serious issues with finding a trailer that only is for this movie, because it's really a two-part thing and the trailers I can without digging through all of them are for both. And here it is:

So the movie tell us about life and death, and the relationships and alien-fighting that comes along.

You don't see the aliens in the trailer, which is good, because I think the best thing with them was how unexpected and creative they were. They aren't really too easy to win over either, and stuff doesn't look like it's made of carboard, which is all good.

You also have distruction on a large scale, for those who like explosions and shit.

As for the characters, the main ones are without doubt Kurono(Kazunari Ninomiya) and Kato(Kenichi Matsuyama), and as the movie goes their friendship becomes so clear it makes me suspect there are some fanfictions somewhere about this stuff.

There's also the asshole Nishi(Kanata Hongo) and the girl that shows up nude(Natsuna Watanabe), and it's with and about these four we see most.

As for acting, I think Matsuyama does the part quite well(I guess he's good at playing sad and brave). As for Ninomiya, he did good, but I think I just like him better in nervous teenager parts than this stuff.
Kanata Hongo is playing a mischevious bastard, so I guess he's supposed to be kind of annoying, but Yuriko Yoshitaka didn't really leave an impression. Maybe she's more in the background and without strong overdone personal traits.. I'm not too sure.

And I guess the actors kind of made this movie a 5 instead of a 6 in my opinion, because the rest is really good, but I don't know... It may be a point for the characters to be "normal people", but I would have liked them to be a bit more action-ish:P It seems like they really decided to have famous actors in this one no matter whatXD

But I can't really come up with some other things I disliked about the movie, so I guess I really liked it then:D And I don't really have much more to say, because basically it's just like it seems in the trailer!
So if it looks like a movie you'd like, you'll probably like it as well:)

And I'm soon watching nr. 2, where they put in at least one more famous actor!(Takayuki Yamada, this guy seems to be everywhere latelyXD)

Kmovie: doll master(2004)

Rating: 5/6
A house full of scary dolls, and people getting killed. Need I say more?

These damned dolls are creeping me out, and the house being full of them doesn't help.

Not really that scared after though, but I like not being paranoid for a month after watching a movie^^ Still, I won't be buying a ball-joint doll sometime soon-.-

There is a background story, though cliche it might be. And a concept which the story is built on, which is also not entirely new, but not a bad one.

I liked the movie, good horror.

But I think the main actor was kind of too panicky in the endXD I know it's a realistic reaction, but at least she should do something:P

Jmovie: The suicide song/Densen uta

Rating: 3/6
Ugh. This movie should be named "mumbling high school girls".. The plot seems really good. A song called “Boku no Hana” has the power to force people to commit suicide after they sing it.
The problem is: it's badly done, full of bad actors, and actually kind of akward. Maybe it's just.. weak? Some funny scenes, but when you've seen one hour and just like two or three scenes, you know it's not right. The high school girls were just silly(not in a good way), and Matsuda Ryuhei should be glad I've seen him in other moviesXD The effects were kiind of cool, as far as I watched, probably more of it near the end. They had a pretty good faceless girl, but I weren't really scared.
Didn't bother seeing more than half though:P Wanted to spend my time on something else. Maybe I'd like more it if I watched the whole thing, but... nah.
Not awful, but could and should have been a lot better.

Vampire host

In this series we meet the hot headed girl Rion in search for her lost friend. The only clue she got is a phone message from her saying something about a vampire. She finds a card in her friends handbag leading her to The host club Krankenhaus.

There she meets the big mouthed Suou, who she is convinced kidnapped her friend. Something Suou absolutly dont agree on. It dosent go long after before she actually finds out the hidden truth about Suou, that he infact is a true vampire. Its here that these two adventures starts togheter. They solve different cases togheter.

Rating: 5-/6

I got to say i really did like this series. It werent especially like the manga, in fact it were extremly little things it had in common. It might be a little minus, but that dosent stop it from being a good series. I almost laught myself half to death of that strange relationship between the two main characters. Even though it was drama in it, they still managed to keep it funny until the last episode. Who i personally didnt like, but im not going to give any spoilers. So no worries. They actually managed to find quite good actors for these two main persons, they managed to portrait and play their roles damn good. Who maid the series even more watchable. Well all persons all agree that bad actors the series turn bad automatically, right? Komukai Minako with her witty comments, and decision to torment Suou. Matsuda Satoshi with his funny expressions etc. and Andou Nozomi as the bitchy Reira (and yes she manages to play that God i want to kill her character extremly well) your bond to have a good time watching this series.

I personally got myself a new favourite vampire watching this^^

Back off Edward Cullen, theres a new vampire in town!
